Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
The beloved Dr. Seuss wrote books that many of us read as a child and still read to our children today. His stories are whimsical and silly and sometimes they just might surprise you with a life message hidden between the lines. Dr. Seuss’ birthday is March 2nd. In his honor, take some time to snuggle with your children and read a few Dr. Seuss books like Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, or Horton Hears A Who. IHOP is celebrating Dr. Seuss with a special menu promoting the new release of the movie The Lorax which opens in theaters on March 2nd.She Is Dallas Info: For more information about the special Dr. Seuss menu, please visit the IHOP/The Lorax webpage or check out the IHOP locator for the closest restaurant to you.Kids will love eating true green eggs and ham. IHOP scrambles eggs with a little creamed spinach for a truly Seuss-y look. My son said it tasted the same as usual but I could taste a hint of the spinach. With their green eggs, kids also get a quarter ham slice and either a a Rooty Tooty Bar-Ba-Looty Blueberry Cone Cake, a Truffula Chip pancake, or a Buttermilk pancake. Adults don’t miss out on the party. There is a Lorax Breakfast which includes green eggs, a big slice of ham, hash browns, and your choice of a Rooty Tooty Bar-Ba-Looty Blueberry Cone Cake, two Truffula Chip pancakes, or two Buttermilk pancakes.
Children ages 3-12 also get a cool bookmark with plantable seed paper to help IHOP plant 3 million trees.
I told my children that we were going to plant them in our backyard and next week we would have our own Truffula trees!
They didn’t believe me….and you shouldn’t either!
The seed paper contains an evergreen mix of Blue Spruce and Canadian White Pine which may grow 20-40 feet wide. They may be planted in a container to minimize size.
