I have been driving the hashtagged minivan {Nissan Quest}, my errands have felt more like an event than a chore. Part of it is that my kids are still thrilled we are borrowing the car for two weeks, but part of it has been a change in my attitude.
An attitude of adventure instead of impending doom.
I think that it began with the CACDC donation. It took about two minutes there to put in perspective what is really important.
When I think of the errands and other mundane daily duties that I HAVE to do as an investment toward spending time with the people I love, it is motivation to get the job done quickly.
It also takes the pressure off of creating the “perfect Christmas” because that isn’t the important part of it all. That isn’t what we will remember next year or 10 years from now.
So, I press on down my to-do list because…
LOOK! There is more space in the back!
Nissan provided a loan of the Nissan Quest for this program, a gift card for my family as we use the vehicle, and a contribution to a charity of my choice in my community.
When I think of the holiday season, I think of decorating the tree, time spent with family and the kajillion errands that will be necessary to make it all happen.
Whew!
It is enough to make me try and pause time in mid-November.
This December my errands have been a little more FESTIVE! Since Welcome to Kids Activities!
My name is Holly Homer & I am the Dallas mom of three boys…
