Let’s make cinnamon rolls
Aside from the bread machine to help you out with the dough, you might want another hand, and luckily your kids can do it!
I had my son, Rhett, who helped me make these rolls tonight. Just a tip after making these yummy cinnamon rolls, don’t just wash your kid’s hands but legs too.

Cinnamon Rolls ingredients :
- 1 1/4 cup of milk
- 2 Tbsp of butter
- 2 Tbsp of sugar
- 1 tsp of salt
- 3 cups of flour
- 2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
DIRECTIONS TO MAKE cinnamon rolls RECIPE

Step 1
Mix and put all the ingredients in the bread machine to make the dough. I used this white bread recipe because it can just be thrown into the bread machine and set for the white bread manual setting and left there for hours…

Step 2
Once the dough is ready, get the dough out and roll it until it is about 3/4 inch thick. You see, Rhett can do it!

Step 3
Melt 2 tbsp of butter and paint it on the dough using a pastry brush.

Step 4
Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on the dough.

Step 5
Roll up dough then cut into 2 inches pieces. You probably don’t want your kids to use the knife, so please take over this step.

Step 6
Place rolls in a pan and bake at 350 heat until golden brown, which usually takes 15 – 20 minutes.
Step 7
Serve and eat a cinnamon roll or two! You might need help with this step too.
If you are more of an iced cinnamon roll kinda person, you can certainly add cream cheese frosting!

Sounds too easy! I frequently make at least 2 times the recipe in my Better homes and Garden cookbook, sometimes 4 times the recipe. Kneading that much dough is where a 17 yr old wrestler/son comes in handy. 🙂
Yum! Tip for slicing – use a clean piece of fishing line or unflavored dental floss. Slip it under your roll. Hold one end in each hand. Cross right over left and pull. Perfect slices – no smushing. And a five year old would love it. 🙂
Why must you tempt me? I’m trying to lose 10 pounds here! Well…not here….but…you know…
Now I’m searching high and low for that bread machine! 😀 I may have a weight loss resolution this year, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt to at least try this one first? lol. But first, let me get that bread machine before I’ll change my mind. 🙂
Happy new year to you and your family, Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Darn it! I don’t have a bread machine!! But maybe I could figure it out anyway…I AM older than 5… 😉
HOLLY. I am amazoning a bread maker and I am BLAMING YOU. 😉
Looks so gooood. But, I don’t have a bread machine.
Oh that looks wonderful….Now just to have a bread machine to help with the work….alas….ha ha
But I do have my cuppa coffee and would like one with the cream cheese icing please.
Oh yummy…they look so good! My weight resolution is restricting me from making them however.
I like how your bread machine clearly calls itself “The Bread Machine” so it doesn’t get confused with the crock pot or steamer or rice cooker. Mine says nothing & is frequently mistaken for a rice cooker.
The rolls look delicious!
