About the Spring Creek Model Railroad Club
If modular model railroading interests you, come visit our club. The Spring Creek Model Railroad Club was started in January 1986 and has developed into one of the areas most unique HO modular layouts. Our present C shaped layout, 40 feet by 32 feet, has almost 300 feet of dual mainline track with multiple remote switching areas. A large portion of the layout is the HOn3 Narrow gauge section which operates independently of the HO portion. We model many eras, from the 1880s to the present, and operate steam, diesel, freight and passenger equipment. The HO portion of the layout is equipped to operate using a Digital Command Control (DCC) system and the Narrow Gauge operates on a separate DCC system. We set up our layout on weekends at train shows, recreation centers or other locations about six times a year.   Our Club meets once each month at a different member's home. We also occasionally take field trips such as riding tourist trains, attending train shows or visiting railroad equipment manufacturers.
