Some of you know one of my dearest
online friends,
Claudia Hall Christian. I have to add the
online part because we still haven’t met in real life. I have considered Claudia a friend for several years now and just adore her.
She has a knack of being intuitive, direct and sweet all at the same time.
She is also a talented writer.
Awhile back she sent me the first book in The Denver Cereal series and I read it
quickly…because Claudia’s characters aren’t the type you can leave hanging. Within moments of finishing
The Denver Cereal, I was on the
website reading Claudia’s new chapters because I couldn’t handle the suspense. In fact, during a Potluck in February of 2009 I demanded that Claudia write faster so I could sleep at night.
I wasn’t kidding.
Well, not only has Claudia finished two other books —
The Fey and
Learning to Stand, she has also completed the second book in The Denver Cereal series,
Celia’s Puppies which she recently sent me.
And I got caught up with all my favorite characters.
And I have been able to sleep at night.
And although it is GREAT to read it on her website,
just like my little Kindle issue, it doesn’t allow me to read in the tub.
So now I am clean
and rested.
Except now that I have read the
second Denver Cereal I notice that Claudia is well into
part III on
DenverCereal.com.
This is the beauty of
serial fiction…the characters become friends that you don’t have to give up at the end of the book. Claudia publishes a new chapter each day
(6 a week) so I really didn’t have anything to complain about!
I don’t know how she keeps up with it all, but I am glad she does.
I love this story…check it out if you are looking for a fun read.
I totally agree that Claudia is a GREAT writer! I am reading “The Fey” right now and am having a hard time putting it down at night. Thankfully I have a playdate at an indoor playground this afternoon and the book is coming with me. LOL!
I’m glad you’re clean and well-rested. Because the needing to be clean part…well…I wasn’t gonna say anything…
And will click on over!
thanks for stopping by!! looking forward to reading more of your stuff!! 🙂
