I am a huge Chipotle fan, but I am not the biggest fan in my home. My husband wrote to Chipotle for 2 years lobbying for a closer location. They finally gave in…probably tired of responding to his emails.   We showed up on day one of the new location and can be found there at least twice a week. YUM.   The cool thing about Chipotle is not only do they make super great fresh food, they are involved in the community.   Wednesday, March 9, 2011 is an example of that:
Chipotle Mexican Grill will kick off its year-long partnership with REAL School Gardens, a local non-profit and national leader in the school garden movement. On March 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Chipotle Mexican Grill will donate proceeds from all purchases at any of Chipotle's 39 DFW-area restaurants to benefit REAL School Gardens. The fundraiser is the first of many planned events that include cooking demonstrations and screenings of What's On Your Plate, a youth created documentary that follows two elementary school students in their pursuit to better understand where their food comes from and how to eat more carefully.
Yep. They will donate proceeds from ALL purchases at their 39 DFW locations to benefit REAL School Gardens. Go! Eat! Do something good!
