She Is Dallas info: Lego Mania! is a free event held at the Lewisville Public Library on the fourth Sunday of each month at 2:00 pm. The Lewisville Library is located at 1197 West Main in Lewisville and their phone number is 972-219-3570. You can also find them online at their Website and Facebook. It was neat watching the boys at the table. None of the boys seem to know each other and they were each building their own ships yet for the most part they would help each other find particular pieces that other boys needed. It was a great experience in teamwork and getting to know other kids. While most of the older kids were boys, there were quite a few girls there as well. They were building more houses or animals whereas the boys were mostly building spaceships and cars. There are also lots of Lego Duplo blocks which are bigger than regular Legos and much easier for little toddlers to work with. There were quite a few little ones there making their own creations. Lego Mania! is a great community activity. It promotes building skills including fine motor skills as well as creativity and problem solving for their creation design. It also gets kids and families into the library where hopefully they will find a book or two to read or take home that they may not have otherwise run across. And best of all – it’s free!
Welcome to Kids Activities!
My name is Holly Homer & I am the Dallas mom of three boys…
Marj, no they don’t get to keep their creation but that didn’t seem to bother my little guy. If you live near a Lego store, they offer a free mini build event on the first Tuesday of every month and the children do get to keep those creations.
Do they get to take home their creation?
Great info! Thanks for sharing!
