  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • Watercolor paper (or you can use white paper)
  • Watercolor paints (darker colors work best)
  • Paintbrushes
In a medium saucepan, mix together the flour, sugar, vegetable oil and water over low heat. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth to make glue. Painting Surprise Watercolor Drawings Use a paintbrush to paint designs onto the paper. We made a drawing with stars and another with a secret message. Allow the drawings to dry overnight. Paint over the paper with watercolor paints. Darker colors, like blue and black, work best. Allow to dry and the drawings will show through the paint!
