I have been a big fan of Sleep Number beds…before they added the numbers!
My husband and I were living in rural Texas about 12 years ago when we decided we needed a new bed. We had heard the Select Comfort advertisements on the radio and went online and purchased a King bed to be delivered by mail.
I remember thinking how odd it was that I was waiting for my mailman to bring me my new bed.
It was even odder when it arrived in 5 SMALL boxes.
There is NO WAY a King size bed fits in these boxes!
But it did.
We put it together and gleefully pumped each side of the bed to our desired firmness. My husband sleeps on a rock. I sleep in a cloud. We are both happy.
But I still don’t know what my sleep number is…
I am looking forward to upgrading my mattress some day so I can finally find out!

Sleep Number sent me a set of sheets to try out. I can testify to the over-sized
ness of these sheets because I unknowingly put a Queen set on my King bed. I thought they fit a bit snugly and then noticed the packaging said “Queen”. They continue to fit because we have slept on them for over a week now.
These sheets are SO SOFT. They definitely have a high snuggle factor. I really like the way they feel.
As for the temperature balancing…well, it is August in Texas. That means there are times when the air conditioner is going full blast and I am chilly and there are times when the air goes off and I am hot. It is subtle, but I have noticed that I haven’t kicked off the covers in the middle of the night. So I think it works!
