This week we chose our own adventure at the Museum of Science and Nature.

We basked on the sun…

without getting hot.

Our shadows watched…

while (short lasting) impressions were made.

The sky was searched for satellites…

and lines were transformed into circles by the blink of an eye.

The meterologists met for a department meeting…

during a hands on lesson in UV light.

Bubbles burst like fireworks…

into continents on a soapy sea.

Gentle breezes suspended play in mid-air…

as a storm brewed behind glass.

Our adventure was as large as the creatures we encountered.

On Sunday, please visit Lotus to choose another adventure.

  1. Wow!! Look at the babies red hair! (Sorry, I get all the ‘r’s mixed up – I know – I suck.) That is such a fun time. I love going to our natural history museum!

((hug)) May the memories of this summer last a lifetime.

  2. Oh I love these places. Seems everywhere I have lived (which is everywhere) has a science center of some sort. IS there nothing more joyful than seeing the wonder of the universe in a boys eyes? Oh and the bubbles! Who knew water and a little dishwashing soap was so amazing!!!

  3. a wonderful tale.

see? i had something nice to say.

i COULD have made a snide remark about how today is friday…and not sunday, which is the day that weekly winners is SUPPOSED to be … but then it would negate the niceness of my comment.

    and we dont want that.

  4. So, Reid’s blowing hair in that photo reminds me of my high school crush’s part and cut. Yeah, I just really wrote that. Yikes.

    KEEP BELIEVING

  5. Awesome pictures! So impressed! …And in such need of blogging lessons…

I know you probably have 30 of these, but I have something for you….

  6. This looks like so much fun. This is what I love about blogs–this kind of storytelling. We have a place like this in OC called The Discovery Center that my kids love. “Almost as fun as Build A Bear!” was my daughter’s comment. Which is a huge compliment!
PS see your son in Crocs. What did we do without them?
