Empty your Pantry Casserole

Build a Base

You need a few basics to start: – 1 cup milk – 1 cup water – 1-2 Tablespoons of oil – Pinch of salt – Pepper or spices to taste

Sauce

Condensed soup such as:  Cream of celery soup Cream of chicken soup Cheddar cheese soup Cream of mushroom

Sauce

Other sauce options: Can of diced tomatoes Caramelized onions or mushrooms in beef broth 1 Cup of Sour Cream

Add Veggies

You'll need 2-3 cups of veggies. Try one of these: Green beans, sweet peas or corn, asparagus tips, chopped spinach, frozen veggies

Add Protein

You'll need 1-2 cups of a protein. Try one of these: Canned tuna, cooked chicken, diced ham or turkey, ground beef, lentils, beans

Add Starch

Try one of these: Macaroni, rice, egg noodles, small pasta shells

Other starch ideas:

Cover with mashed potatoes, hashbrowns, biscuits or pie crust!

Try adding these items to make it amazing: Sliced black olives, chopped red pepper, garlic, taco seasoning, chopped onions, chopped celery

Toppings: Shredded cheese, stuffing mix, buttery cracker crumbs

Instructions: 1. Combine base ingredients and sauce of choice 2. Stir in veggies, starch, protein 3. Bake  4. Add topping and bake again
