We all want our children to have a magical childhood. That’s why we let them believe in Santa, the Tooth Fairy, Easter, Bunny, the Great Pumpkin. Their imaginations let us relive our own childhoods or maybe even make better versions. Stories, songs, treats, they all work together to give our children a rich fantasy life that will carry their imaginations on through adulthood. But some parents are much more determined, or maybe capable than the rest of us. While I made sure my kids always had Tooth Fairy footprints on their nightstand, I have friends who build fairy doors into their walls and send special letters on gold edged paper from Santa direct. Then, there’s this guy. Take a look!
Parenthood is complicated enough, but this guy created a masterpiece that his daughter will never forget. I’d be jealous, but I have neither the time nor the talent, nor the energy to create something as masterful as this. It impresses me, though, and I know it’s going to be an incredible memory his daughter carries with her for the rest of her life.
