Where were you the first time you saw Beauty And The Beast? I was in the theater with my high school bestie and we were sitting in the very front row, wishing we knew the words to all the songs so we could go ahead and sing along with them. It only took us a week of going every single day to learn those words and Belle has been my favorite Disney princess ever since that first showing. For one, she’s strong. She isn’t a victim of circumstance; she steps in to take care of someone else and learns about herself in the process. For another, she’s brilliant. A bonafide bookworm, and daughter of a scientist, Belle is the princess most introverts can best identify with and the princess I will always hold above all others.
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to buy my ticket right now. Seriously, how awesome is this going to be? I don’t know who is in it yet, or how they plan to animate the household items, but this is one movie I plan to see the second it comes to theaters. Are you as excited as I am?
