We all know that kids grow up far too fast. It seems one moment we cradle them in our arms to watch them sleep, and the next they’re graduating high school. It’s impossible to remember all those tiny, perfect moments in between, but this father came up with a way to get as close as possible. In this epic labor of love, father Frans Hofmeester filmed his daughter Lotte every single week, no matter what, from birth to sixteen. The results are breathtaking as we’re able to literally see Lotte grow up before our eyes…take a look!
What I love most about this (not that I don’t love the whole thing, mind…) is that no matter what was going on in their lives they always found time to work on this project. There are definitely some bad days, but so so many more good ones. And through the whole thing Lotte is talking to her dad. About what? Who knows? But that doesn’t matter – because they’re together. And that’s probably the biggest gift of all.
