What was meant to be a fun ride in a Texas amusement park became an terrifying experience neither Delbert Latham or his six-year-old son Kaysen will ever forget when the six-year-old’s seatbelt malfunctioned during the ride.
Delbert stepped in last minute to ride the ride for his wife and decided to capture the experience on camera. It starts out happy and the child is smiling and looking forward to the rollercoaster at the Wonderland Amusement Park in Amarillo, Texas, but a quick look of terror took over as the seatbelt failed and the child began to slip.
Calm dad stepped in by wrapping his arm around the child to hold him in place and managed to still capture the entire ride on film! Check it out below!
I’m not sure I would have been able to stay as calm as Delbert, but thank goodness for fast reflexes!
Here’s hoping Kaysen’s next ride is a far less terrifying experience!
