Can you tell me if any of these ressources have french learning? Thank you.
I tried ABC Mouse. They ask parents to request that the school administrator complete this. Schools are closed.
Not much diversity in the pictures for this article
Not all of these are offering free sign ups for students dealing with school closures. I know for a fact ABC Mouse and Outschool are both still charging.
What a wonderful list of resources. Thank you! It would be sooo helpful if each link had a short sentence about what kind of resource it is and what grades it is suited for. 🙂
I’m a third grade teacher. I don’t know about all the sites, and I’m excited to look into them more, but just so others know, iReady is what we use as a district. It has amazing math and reading content!! Definitely recommend it!!
It would be better to have this in a format that could be printed.
If you search for Scholastic Learn at Home on Google, you will find they are sharing 20 days of free books with related activities including various Sciences and Social Studies so far because of the school closures. It’s really neat. Also, Khan Academy has always been free! Together, you have your reading, writing, and math!
Thank you for this list! While they may not all be suited to my needs this is a great jumping off point. This list was provided to us as parents out of kindness during a time of need, thank you!
Ditto. Not much diversity in these pix. You can do much better.
My boys have Kindles would they be able to do most of these on them? Are there was to save what they do to show their teachers? I’m an Admin Assistant for a school district and right now they don’t know for sure if we’re only out this week or longer.
Thank you for this! Wish ones have activities for preschoolers?
Many of these require a school login, ie. Not for homeschoolers.
Please correct your spelling of *conjugemos*, which should read Conjuguemos, the name of the website and the Spanish verb form meaning “Let’s conjugate!”. Thank you!
Thank you! I really appreciate you putting this together!
I can’t get most of these to allow my kid on. They all still want a log in-which means I would have to create an account and they then charge for that. Disappointing cause I told her that she could get into the ones I tried but it won’t allow her to actually play anything without logging in. If there supposed to be another thing that provides the log ins and I missed it?
You have done a wonderful service for the community by gathering and publishing these resources. Thank you!
Having said that, there is a very conspicuous lack of diversity in the photos that have been chosen for display. Though hopefully not intentional, this situation will unfortunately communicate to many that they are not welcome.
I get you need revenue, but this list is super annoying due to all of the large in-line ads and random photos that are included in it. It’s preventing me from sharing the site with my connections because it’s just ugly to look at and navigate.
I wish people didn’t always have to add in negative comments whenever someone tries to do something good. Thank you for all of these great ideas, tips and fun things to do. Having 5 kids at home during this rough time, it makes a huge difference.
Kudos to a noble effort to empower parents during this challenging time. However it’s frustrating that many of the resources being provided require an administrative/school entity role in order to access the site. Is it possible to reach out to BrainPop, Discovery Ed and others to revise requirements so parents can access their wonderful resources?
Thank you for this, BUT TOO MANY ADS.
Quite annoying.
The below category “Tweens and Teens” does not work. It goes to the Elementary post only. Can this be fixed, since my grandkids are both in high school, and their school is closed the rest of the school year (as per Kansas Governor’s orders)?? The wonderful work done on the above list is extraordinary!! Is there any way to know which ones are for high school aged students? If it says science or math in the title, that helps, but need more than that to go on. Thanks!
Thanks so much for sharing this list. I am always amazed at what people find to complain about from a FREE list of FREE resources!
I wanted to let readers know that parents can sign up as a school for some or maybe many of these resources. You as the parent are also now the teacher for at least some subjects. The name of your school is whatever you name it for the rest of the semester, such as “Jones Academy” or “Lewis Learning Center”. It may not work for all these resources, but it will work for some of them. So many parents are concerned about keeping their children learning, which is a wonderful thing! Help them in whatever subjects they need to continue in, as well as something they are just interested in learning about–whether it’s on this list or not. You will make an impact on their lives by showing them you care and are willing to learn a new thing, too! Good luck!
Thank you for taking the time to gsther this information. If the ads were too much or diversity too little you certainly are welcone to leave the site.
Thank you for the thoughtful effort of putting together information for parents. It’s always so disappointing to witness people’s ability to complain and be petty in a moment when they could just be grateful or silently leave if it doesn’t suit their needs.
What a great resource. You really have a very extensive list of education companies offering free subscriptions! I am pinning and tweeting now!
