Dogs are our best friends. And we love them. But unfortunately there’s usually a huge language gap and that can make it difficult to understand what our dogs are really trying to tell us. Are they hungry? Happy? Annoyed? Turns out, there are actually a lot of super helpful things dogs do to ‘tell’ us what they’re feeling or thinking!
If the dog wags his lowered tail slowly, that means he doesn’t understand what’s going on, he’s confused.
If a dog’s eyes are wide open, he’s challenging you. Definitely don’t approach an unfamiliar dog while looking them straight in their wide-open eyes, because he will try to assert his authority over you!
Ears pointing straight up are signs that your pup is alert, and taking in his environment.
