Growing up on a farm, we ran across a lot of wild animals who needed aid. Some of them we could help, others we couldn’t. The sweetest was a deer who was only a few weeks old and had somehow gotten tangled in some old fence. We brought the deer to our house, helped it get healthy again, and let it go. Now, you might be wondering why we just let it go…but the truth is, that deer’s family had been checking in on it every single day we held it. It was the sweetest thing ever. So I understand this man’s need to help a deer he found tangled in the fence. I mean, who could pass something like this and not help? Only, once the deer was freed, it ran right back into the fence. Take a look!
I’m guessing it was disoriented from having hung upside down like that, but watching it run into it all over again made me laugh. It was almost like it was saying, “I don’t need your help. I can do this myself!” And luckily, the second time he did manage to free himself. Like I said, some you can help, and other’s not so much.
