At some point in every parent’s life we all reach the same realization, “Oh my lord! What was I thinking!?! This is SO HARD!” And it is. Being a parent is the most exhausting, most uncelebrated, most under-appreciated job you could ever have. And since for many of us it’s more a calling than a job, we start to wonder how in the heck we ever thought we could pull this off. It’s just so hard! But then we have moments where our kids are perfect. That day where their little eyes are all the reward we will ever need. Or those perfectly sweet tiny snores as they go to sleep at night – wow, if someone could bottle that up, they’d be a catrillionaire. Still, this little girl – for whatever reason – has figured out the hard part early. With tears in her eyes, she tells her mama that she doesn’t want to be a mom…and then explains the very understandable reason why. Take a look!
I wish I could tell her it gets easier, but I think all I can really say is that it is worth it.
