I love it when babies start to talk. It’s like they suddenly shift from being in a world where no one really knows what they want or need…to being able to communicate in more finite and liberated ways. In short, it is awesome. Only, sometimes knowing exactly what they want means that you’ll end up doing something you know they don’t want, simply because it needs to be done. Because even though they know how to talk, they don’t yet understand that sometimes we have to do things we just don’t want to do. Like this baby, for instance. When mama asks her if she’s ready to get her diaper changed, she has a very strong, unquestionable answer. And it’s pretty hilarious. Take a look!
I can’t blame her. I respond the same way every time someone asks if I want to wake up early, or if I’m ready to go to the gym.
