Having lived in the country (on a farm, no less!) I can tell you first hand that bears digging in the trash is a huge problem. Not only is it super messy, but it’s also super scary to walk out of the house and be face to face with a bear. And let’s not get started on the toll they take on family pets. RIP, Mr. Ribbons… Still, it’s hard to figure out how to deal with them when they’re around, especially if you don’t want to hurt them. Which, to be honest, as scary as they are you really don’t want to hurt them. So this family, facing the same exact problem, came up with an ingenious solution to keep the bears out of the trash: a spooky clown. I mean, what’s scarier than a bear after all? A clown. Always a clown. Take a look! This might have made me pee myself a little when it went off. I can’t imagine what the bear is thinking. All I know is if I ever go back to the country, I’m investing in a few creepy clowns…that was the best bear repellant I’ve ever seen in my life!
