I loved my grandma more than almost anyone. She had this great gravely voice and deep laugh that no one else could mimic. I remember watching her in the kitchen when I was a little girl. We lived on a farm, and my grandma lived about 20 minutes away and made all of her food from scratch. She’d spend hours canning vegetables, fruits, meats – she made her own sauerkraut and pickles. And pizza? She made the best pizza – completely from scratch. I say all this to say grandparents mean a lot. And grandma’s especially hold a special place in little girl’s hearts. This little girl is always going to remember her grandma. She might not remember this moment where she’s trying to sing with her, but she’ll always remember her. Take a look!
I hope these two get to grow up as close as my grandma and me. And I hope they have years and years of duets ahead of them. Like I said, I know she won’t remember singing with her at this age, but she’ll know that her grandma loves her deeply and that’s all any kid could want.
