My son was a late talker. For a while I wasn’t sure if he’d ever talk. I don’t know if it was because my daughter said all the words for him, and he figured he didn’t need to, but since our pediatrician wasn’t worried, I figured I shouldn’t worry. Oh, who am I kidding…I’m a mom. I was so worried. More than anything I wanted to make sure he was okay, and the fact that he wasn’t talking meant there might be something I wasn’t doing. Then, one day while he was supposed to be napping, I walked past his bedroom and caught him whispering words to himself. About two weeks after that he started talking in full sentences and all the time. It’s like he had to make sure he said it all correctly on his own before he said it to the world. This baby? This baby does not have that same concern. Take a look! I know this was probably just baby mumbo jumbo that sounded like words, but I love it all the same. I love the idea that he might just start speaking in full sentences any day, and that his family caught this first one on video. What an awesome catch!
