Snow Ice Cream

946335187_adce2b652bI wish we lived in snow land instead of Texas!  This sounds like a lot of fun, perfect with a candy cane and maybe some homemade fudge!  You’ll have to let me know how it tastes!

Ingredients:

  • 6 c. clean snow (Or use shaved ice from a snow cone maker)
  • 1/2 cup of whipping cream
  • 2-4T Sugar
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • Chocolate sauce, to taste (optional)
  • Flavored extracts, such as raspberry extract or peppermint extract (optional)

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and serve immediately.

Thanks to Robyn for the picture.  Here is another recipe for Mint Icecream that Robyn made.

We made fake snow at our house since it’s not coming anywhere near Austin, but of course you can’t use it to make ice cream.

Oh we have snow a plenty here… I think I’ll see if I can try this with my older nephews over Christmas Break. Thanks for the neat idea!!

  3. Erin F says:

maybe this is a dumb question, but do you whip the whipping cream first or just pour it in?

I made it when I was a kid, but can’t remember. When/If you make it can you let us know what you decided to do and how it turned out? I wish we lived in a snowy climate!

    Hi there,

I’m stopping by from Arizona Momma’s blog (Daze in the Desert) and wanted to say hello. I love your mix n’ match recipe and can’t wait to try it. THis sounds great, too. We are expecting more snow tonight & tomorrow, so it’s perfect timing.

Looking forward to checking out more of your blog!
