Pumpkin Craft

There are so many ways to have fun with pumpkins, you can make an easy craft, edible treat or create home decor.  I love all things pumpkin, the smell of it in my kitchen is my favorite. Maybe I should rephrase that to, the taste of it in my mouth is my favorite.   This is my very own crafted pumpkin patch that I started back in September. I know a bit early for some but I told you I love all things pumpkin.

Halloween Activities

I’m an Orange Pumpkin Rhyme

sung to the tune of “I’m a Little Teapot.”

I’m an orange pumpkin, fat and round. (hold arms rounded out to the sides)

Sitting in the cornfield on the ground.

I’ll be a jack-o-lantern with two big eyes (use hands to make circles around eyes)

Or maybe I’ll be a big fat pie! (hold arms in circle in front)

Kids love to do all of the fun hand motions so make sure you join in.  You can also make 5 pumpkins and sing 5 Little Pumpkins rhyme with it.

Halloween Crafts

Pumpkin Treat:

How to Make a Pumpkin

1. You will need round chocolate or other kind of candy.  I taped the ends to the bottom.

2. Cut out Orange tissue paper squares and place the candy in the center.

3. Wrap it up and twist the end. Place tape over the twisted end to keep it from unraveling.

4. Add brown or green tissue paper to the tip and glue or tape.

There now you have your own cute little pumpkin patch from this easy pumpkin craft.
